Actor As Storyteller: From Audition to Performance

Day 1  will be focused on auditioning. Everyone in class will have a chance to audition and we'll discuss the work, approach and preparation. We'll also look at casting and the breakdown of roles for television and film.

Day 2 & 3 you'll be paired with a partner for scene work and we will look at choices and execution while using a variety of exercises and techniques to deepen your exploration. Also there will be a very eye opening on-camera exercise dealing with being present and fully authentic on and off script.

Day 4 is focused on moving your career forward, including creating your own career path & goals, the artistic attitude, visa information, practical tools and re-discovering your passion.

Lisa Pescia from TV's The Mentalist, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, Parenthood and Seinfeld is an LA based actor, director, producer & teacher.  She has taught at UCLA and AFI and after teaching international actors for several years, Lisa has brought her Acting Intensive to Spotlight Studios & The Actors Center in London, BAW/Paris, Point in Berlin, Hollywood in Rome and CinAct at AED Studios Belgium.  For more information: imdb.me/lisapescia
